ADIDAS x BROWZWEAR - 3D DESIGN SPRINT
A 3D virtual prototype of an Adidas jumpsuit jacket.
an innovative design sprint aimed at pushing the boundaries of fashion design to explore 3D Prototyping software
A design sprint to better understand the needs and expectations of emerging designers as 3D fashion design is becoming ubiquitous in the industry.

Goals
An interdisciplinary exploration of two distinct:  fashion design students reinterpreting the Adidas iconic tracksuit. , as user experience (UX) design students research how users acclimate to the 3D software.

This case study served as a basis for Browzwear to gain insights into the evolving expectations of fashion designers as they integrate 3D fashion design software into their creative practice and how this might impact their brand.

The challenge
Within just two weeks, students developed their design ideas and virtual prototypes utilizing Browzwear's software solutions; VStitcher and Lotta.

Eliminating the need to fabricate physical samples.
Browzwear 3D Software
VStitcher is a 3D software solution for apparel design and development. It can be used to design garment size ranges, graphics, fabrics, trims, colorways, and styling. The result is a photorealistic 3D rendering.

With comprehensive features, designers, technical specialists and pattern makers can create designs and take them to the next level with true-motion fit, pattern modification, grading, tech pack generation, and more.

3D Virtual Prototypes
The students scanned new performance fabrics that were draped in Browzwear, to create a realistic visualization of their design ideas. During the creation process, the students worked with the Browzwear team to maximize the advanced features of the software, creating realistic design simulations.

User Experience (UX) Design
The UX team generated a substantial report with exhausted research. They identified strategies to capture a new critical mass of emerging designers:

Affinity Mapping
Heuristic Analysis
Messaging Analysis

Adidas Outcome
In a the remarkably short two week time frame, the designers created a visually striking range of new ideas, reinterpreting the tracksuit, while retaining the core values of Adidas brand.
